As you know, we began testing the digital tip program in April at 12 locations and quickly knew that this program was going to be successful!  We rolled digital tipping out to all inns in July!   Here are some metrics to show our success!


  • We’ve taken in almost $5000 in tips for our employees since April 14th

  • The average tip is just over $7.50

  • More than 15% of our employees have received a tip so far… and almost 25% of our housekeeping teams!

  • 60% of RRI West locations have officially received tips through the HiFive digital tipping program!


During our first official weekend for all RRI West locations, we ran a contest for 3 $25.00 gift cards. CONGRATIONLATIONS TO:

Work uniforms can be important for both employees and employers for a variety of reasons, including:

  • You don’t have to think… what should I wear today?   It’s simple – wake up, get dressed in your company provided uniform – and go to work!

  • It can keep you safe!  Uniforms can help distinguish employees from outsiders or customers and alerting others to their presence.

  • It helps advertise our Brand!  Uniforms can help customers identify company representatives who can answer questions, which can improve customer service and universally shows the customer who we are! Additionally, Employees wearing uniforms can act as walking advertisements for a company or brand, especially when they're out on lunch breaks.

  • It helps build our culture as a Team! Uniforms can help employees feel a sense of camaraderie and connection to their team, which can foster positive attitudes towards their job.  Well-fitting and stylish uniforms can show employees that their employer cares about how they look and feel, which can boost their morale and pride in their work.

  • And lastly, its our Policy!  Per the Red Roof Brand and RRI West standards, we have uniform requirements that we must meet with all team members.   Our RRI West Employee Handbook states the following:

 

Dress CodeYour appearance is our guests’ first impression. Dress standards help the Company maintain a positive business image. The company provides certain uniform pieces for field hourly positions. The following is not all-inclusive list and may change depending on business need:

  • As part of your employment, you will be issued a company paid uniform. This uniform is to be maintained during the course of your employment and you are required to be in uniform for every shift.

  • All apparel must be clean, pressed and in good condition at all times.

  • Additional items such as coats, cardigans, etc. may be worn as long as those items are workplace appropriate and do not take away from the overall look of the company uniform.

  • At the inn level, name tags and closed-toed shoes are required at all times during working hours while on the property.

  • You are expected to be neat and well-groomed in appearance, follow proper hygienic practices and be appropriately dressed for your departmental responsibilities upon your arrival to work.
