Just a couple of reminders as the holiday season continues through New Years... and scammers, hackers and such are out and about across the interwebs!


  • Be mindful that company computers can be searched for information at any given time.  So please ensure you are being careful about what you are doing online, what you are searching for, what you are listening to, what you are watching.  This is true for every employee of RRI West.  Inappropriate internet searches, inappropriate music lyrics on You Tube or other musical platform, inappropriate conversations you may have via personal or company email may all be examples of things that may flag with our IT department, who are always on the lookout to keep us safe, and equally important... our company and guest data safe!

  • Speaking of safety...  in the December issue of Under One Roof, the Brand helpdesk will be implementing a passphrase that will change monthly to help identify them more clearly to management and front desk GSRs.

  • If Westmont support contacts the site (Currently only Bryan Henley, John Myers, Abdul Fall, Kevin Stewart, Emmanuel Miranda, Rudain Alhabbal and Brandon Lawn), they will state who they are upon contact. Typically, they only contact the property when the site has created a ticket or plan device replacement etc.

  • Red Roof support does not manage the computers so it is highly doubtful they would need to contact a property for anything computer related unless some confusion on their end. The Westmont IT team would never be upset if a property questioned who they were upon calling, and they are more than happy to send an email to a property to validate their identity. 


Please review this important information with your front desk GSRs to ensure they know this important safety information from the IT department.

The leadership team is already looking ahead to 2025 and the important role the General Manager Advisory Council will play.  As we’ve sold a few locations over the past 2 years, we’ve lost some members and the existing members would love to continue, if possible, along with a few new partners as well.  We are looking for 2-3 General Managers to join the GMAC team!  Here are the details:

 

  • The purpose of the GM Advisory Council is to bring together a key group of insightful General Managers with members of the RRI West Leadership Team to engage in constructive conversation about the RRI West organization, influence positive change and take on key business initiatives that can create better efficiencies, processes and/or policies within RRI West. 

  • Any member who wishes to be considered must submit an application to stephanie.doherty@rriwest.com no later than December 27, 2024.  Final selections for the 2025 GMAC will be made by members of the RRI West Leadership team and will be communicated by January 10, 2025. 

  • In 2025, GMAC members will play an important role in mentoring other RRI West GMs within a given region.  For those GMs who are identified for final placement, your property performance, including but not limited to: top line revenue, bottom line flow through, labor controls, OSAT and Q-score may be considered.

As we continuously improve and elevate the RRI West training experience, we are looking to identify an internal employee who is interested in spearheading a new and exclusive, RRI West only Training program in 2025.  All interested parties should send an email of interest to kelly.mccloud@rriwest.com by December 27, 2024.
