Incentive Recap:


As a reminder, the 2023 GM Lead Engagement Incentive ran from May 1st to October 31st, and we set certain expectations for GM Sales Engagement. Here is a quick recap:

  • GMs were expected to submit a minimum of 2 Qualified leads per month to their ADOS or 12 leads over the course of the incentive.

  • At least 1 lead per month should have converted to a new VP account or a total of 6 over the incentive period.

  • Qualified leads should include essential information such as company name, contact name, and phone number.

  • The minimum expectations for Incentive Gatekeepers were met by many of you, with a minimum of 12 qualified leads and 6 producing leads throughout the incentive timeframe.

Incentive Gatekeepers - Ticket System:


Remember the ticket system for the drawing! For each VP account above the minimum of 6 that generated revenue from May 1st to November 30th, GMs earned one ticket per account into a drawing. This means the more revenue-producing leads, the more tickets you have for a chance to win a prize. There is no limit to the number of times you can win!


Example: If a GM produced a total of 30 leads that turned into revenue-producing VP accounts, they would receive a total of 25 tickets in the drawing for the incentive prizes.

  • 6 leads = 1 ticket

  • 30 leads – 6 minimum leads = 24 additional tickets

  • Total = 25 tickets


Announcement of Winners:


The winners of the GM Sales Incentive Prizes will be officially announced on December 15th. Stay tuned for the exciting news!


Prizes:

  • Highest Number of Qualified Leads:

    • Prize: $1,000

    • Additional Incentive: Another $1,000 to be used at your discretion as an incentive for your property staff, subject to RVPO approval.

  • Highest Amount of VP Revenue Consumed from Leads:

    • Prize: $1,000

    • Additional Incentive: Another $1,000 to be used at your discretion as an incentive for your property staff, subject to RVPO approval.

  • Ticket Drawing Prizes:

    • Prize: 8 x $1,000

    • Details: Eight General Managers, selected through the ticket drawing system, will each receive a $1,000 prize.

    • There is no limit to the number of times you can win!

Total Incentive Money Awarded: $12,000!

Hello Again & Happy Holidays from your Sales & Marketing team!

(How is it already time for the holidays)??!!!


As we finish up 2023, a few friendly reminders:

  • Please be sure you are regularly checking (monthly) your FEMA/ELA availability status by logging in and ensuring that your Inn is marked availble for reservations.

  • Anything new in your area? Restaurant changes? New attractions? The Sales team is in the midst of another Experience Page scrub – please let us know if you have anything you think should be mentioned, or omitted, on your EP. We want these pages to look as inviting and informative as possible!

  • Is your local CVB/Chamber running any holiday campaigns for the hotels in the area that you can be a part of? Some will list any promotions that the area hotels have on their website or in their newsletters. Let us know & we are happy to set a holiday promo VP and get you a link. Check it out!

  • Sales Incentive program – it is now over, but we are still tallying revenues that come in through November.

Trucking Promotion Reminder

On December 5th, ADOS Kelly Schnorrbusch sent out an email regarding a Trucking Promotion that is available to you through the National Sales Team. Just a reminder if you haven’t already sent your responses regarding truck parking and your desire to participate in the program, send a quick email to her at kelly.schnorrbusch@rriwest.com and cc your ADOS and RVPO with your answers to the following questions.

  1. Do you have truck parking?

  2. If yes, any notes about the space: (i.e. only if available, adjacent grass lot, etc)

  3. Would you like to submit your inn for inclusion in an upcoming Trucking Promotion email?

  4. If yes, send at least 2 photos of the space to be sent; make sure the pictures are crisp/not blurry and would provide a good visual for the guest when included on the flyer.

  5. Anything else you want shared: (i.e. ¼ mile from X Truck Stop, 24-hour restaurant next door, etc)

Please respond by Friday December 23th with your truck parking info.

As we close out the year, it is a good time to send a note, a thank you, or some good cheer to your regular guests, your inn’s top producers, and current crew business. It can be a simple letter and candy cane left in the room before your regular checks in next time. Perhaps you send an email or holiday card with a thank you to the accounts who stay with you regularly. Make a phone call to that company you’d really love to win more business from in the new year. Remember that gratitude doesn’t have to cost more than a few minutes of your time and it goes a long way.


We see the hard work you put in every day, the sales leads you submit, and the great service you continue to provide, even when things get challenging. We appreciate you so very much.
