You should have received an email last Friday, December 9th explaining our 2022 Performance Review and Merit Increase worksheet.

As many of you may know, during the covid pandemic, employee reviews were one of many business processes that were put on hold, and merit increases were handled a little differently based on the challenges of the 2020/2021 labor market. But, as many other business processes at RRI West have returned to normal in the past year… so too should our performance process and merit increase approvals! Performance Appraisals, while time consuming, are an important piece to retention of our most valuable asset… our employees! Holding them accountable to their job and rating them on their initiative (or lack thereof) among other key competencies are all crucial components to building passion within our team in the coming year!

Please refer to the 12/9 email from Stephanie that contains all of the information you need to know over the next 4-6 weeks. The best part? Any employee who is eligible and approved for a merit increase will see that raise in their January 20, 2023 paycheck. This is the earliest we’ve ever been able to process these important increases and get them into the employee’s hands!

KEY UPCOMING DATES

12/10/2022: Reviews are available in UKG

1/8/2023: All Performance Reviews must be entered into UKG

1/21/2023: All Performance Review discussions must be completed and all reviews will be avialiable for employees to reference within their UKG account.

After months of research and negotiations, I’m excited to announce our new relationship with Waste Management. Waste Management has a proven track record of quality equipment, competitive pricing, and excellent support and customer service. Effective January 1, 2023, Republic Services will no longer manage our trash services.

Waste Management has begun the launch process to ensure a seamless transition for all. Depending on who your current local trash hauler is, you may or may not have your dumpster(s) switched out. On 12/13 a list was sent to each property showing if you will have a new carrier. Size and frequency of pick-ups will remain the same as what you have currently. WM is coordinating this with Republic to ensure there is no period without a container. It is possible that you could have your old container and new container at the same time – then your old container will be removed, and the new container will be placed in the designated dumpster enclosure or space.

Please carefully read the attached LAUNCH WELCOME LETTER and keep it handy for easy reference. Stay tuned for information on a training call in January to learn how to use the E-Business Portal, a user-friendly dashboard to help you manage services!

If you happen to receive a call from Waste Management or a local hauler you may tell them that we are contracted with Waste Management National Accounts, or simply have them contact Jon Baaske at 614-362-1795 or via email.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
