Safety - Tip of the Week

Being welcoming and offering the best customer service are not the only things you need for guests to repeatedly stay at your hotel. While these items are still important, guests knowing that they are safe on your premises will give a comforting feeling that they are in safe hands.

A big aspect of staying safe is emphasizing to employees that security is a “priority”. If this is ignored, employees put everyone on-premises in danger which can harm the hotel's reputation.

All employees should be aware of the basics of what to look out for and how to report suspicious actions. If you see something report it. For example, this can also include not giving out guest information and only handing out room keys to registered guests once we have verified their identity. While these may seem minor, ignoring these details can result in an unsafe environment to our guests and our employees. By regularly emphasizing security, it eventually becomes a habit, and our employees will not forget what they have learned.

Tip: Log into RiskManager Pro and download the March Safety Calendar. Each morning during your staff meetings, discuss the departmental safety tip of the day.
